The
World Health Organisation defines health as a state of complete
physical, mental and social well-being, not merely an absence of
disease or infirmity.
This
means that the really clever people who use the big fancy words say
that health is not just about not being ill. It's also about being
happy, having a people you can turn to and not being in pain, as well
as many other things.
Your
health can be affected by everything in your life, in both positive
and negative ways. It is really important that you remember that,
and do not take your health for granted.
In
this section we talk about the different types of health, the things
which can be bad for you and how to look after yourself well:
